Mary Jones (1808-1869), daughter of Joseph Jones and Sarah Anderson, married her first cousin Charles Colcock Jones of Liberty County, Ga., in 1830. --Clarke, Erskine. Dwelling Place. p. 488. Hargr Ref F292.L6 C58 2005.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of one letter: dated Philadelphia, September 1, 1851, "My dear sister" (possibly meant Susan Mary Cumming), signed "Mary Jones," regarding sewing, vacation, visitors, and the health of her family.
