Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteDr. R. Bruce King received his B. A. degree from Oberlin College in 1957 and his Ph. D. degree from Harvard University in 1961. After working as an Independent Research Fellow for four years at the Mellon Institute, Dr. King joined the University of Georgia and was appointed Regents' Professor in 1973. Dr. King has held an adjunct professorship at Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He was also an Associate Director of the Center for Computational Quantum Chemistry at South China Normal University and an Academic Co-Director of the Research Center for Advanced Computation at Xihua University. Dr. King's early research was focused primarily in synthetic inorganic, organometallic, and organophosphorus chemistry. His most recent research is focused on computational inorganic and organometallic chemistry. Scope and ContentThis collection contains laboratory notes of Dr. R. Bruce King. Most are from his time as a Fellow at the Mellon Institute. Also included are laboratory notes of Anthony Fronzaglia and Milton Bisnette, both of whom published research with Dr. King.
