Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteThe J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development is a public service and outreach unit of the University of Georgia. The Institute is dedicated to strengthening communities, organizations, and individuals through leadership development, training, and education. Founded in 1985, the Institute is named for the University of Georgia's first Vice President for Services, Dr. J.W. Fanning. Scope and ContentIncluded are files assigned to counties in Georgia that recieved leadership training from The Fanning Institute. Also included are files containing information about leadership training for various governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, and universities. Also included are travel plans and correspondence related to the Georgia 4-H and Labo, Japan International Exchange Program.
