Collection Description

Historical Note

Margaret May Zeigler was an associate professor of psychology at the University of Georgia from 1933 until her retirement in 1952. Along with Florene Young, Zeigler was one of the first two women to teach psychology at UGA. Zeigler taught at the Georgia State Teachers College from 1917-1933. She earned an A.B. degree at Winthrop College (Rock Hill, SC) in 1904 and an M.A. degree at the University of Georgia in 1922.

This collection consists of personal and professional biographical materials pertaining to Margaret May Zeigler. This includes correspondence, certificates, photographic portraits, and a salary letter from Zeigler's employment at the University of Georgia.
