Collection DescriptionBiographical/historical noteMaxwell Taylor Courson was a member of the Men's Glee Club at UGA. In 1976, Courson wrote an article about the Glee Club's appearance on the very popular Ed Sullivan Show in 1957. Scope and ContentThe collection consists of Maxwell Taylor Courson's 1976 article "Remembering when the Men's Glee Club was on that 'rilly big shew'"(published in Georgia Alumni Record), and information Courson used to write the article (a couple letters from former Glee Club members addressed to Maxwell). The collection also includes a copy of "Bessie could not help it" by Byron H. Warner and a program from a performance of the UGA Men's Glee Club.
