One Story Athens
Collection DescriptionScope and ContentOne Story Athens is a collection of interviews recorded as part of Historic Athens' One Story Athens Facebook Live initiative. The Richard B. Russell Library for Political Research and Studies partnered with Historic Athens to support and preserve the Facebook Live-streamed public history initiative which aims to bring awareness to communities and connect generations with their heritage, as well as to preserve a fuller history of Athens, through remote interviews on Facebook. This collection includes interviews with members of Athens' Black community documenting the modern history of Athens neighborhoods, music, art, restaurants, politics, religion, and society.
