Collection DescriptionScope and ContentThe Sandy Creek Nature Center Oral History Collection began in 2022 by Roger Nielsen to document the individual histories of the Board of Directors, in coordination with their 50th anniversary celebration. The Sandy Creek Nature Center is a nonprofit organization in Athens, Georgia, founded in 1973, and is partnered with the Athens-Clarke County government to support, promote and protect the environmental education and preservation efforts at the center.
