John B. Vaughan was a hymn composer, owner of John B. Vaughan Music Company, Athens, Georgia, and resided in Athens, Georgia.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of correspondence, music manuscripts, and printed material of John B. Vaughan and Mrs. Vaughan from 1884-1938. Some correspondence is personal in nature, and inquires about John B. Vaughan's health, but mostly concerns orders of Vaughan's song books, and lyrics and music for consideration. Music manuscripts include hymns composed by Vaughan, his wife, and others. Printed material consists mainly of published hymns by a variety of composers.
