Collection Description

Scope and Content

The collection consists of typewritten correspondence of Hughes Spalding with E. Merton Coulter, Herbert Bolton, and John Tate Lanning concerning a possible series of books on the history of coastal Georgia. The collection also includes two honors presented to Spalding: a certificate naming Spalding as a member of Pope John XXIII's Council and Advisory Group of the Atlanta Diocese (1959); Newman Club "Georgia Catholic Award," 1960.
