Historical Note

The Rhodes Furniture Company of Atlanta, Georgia was founded by Amos Giles Rhodes (1859-1928). He has been credited by some as inventing the installment payment for furniture purchasing, and opened stores all across the Southeast. His son Joseph D. Rhodes (1877-1932) succeeded his father in leading the company.
