Charles Perry Goodrich (1831-1921) mustered into the 1st Wisconsin Cavalry, U.S. Army in 1861 and served during the Civil War.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of one letter: dated Head Quarters 1st Wisconsin Cavalry, Camp 8 miles east of Marietta, Georgia, July 7, 1864, "Dear Frankie," signed "Perry," regarding logistics, marching with General Stoneman's cavalry, and their recent battle.
