Collection Description

Historical Note

The Comer family lived in several counties in Georgia. Most were descendants of William Jenkins Comer, born March 15, 1847 in Jackson County, Georgia. He married Martha Deadwyler in 1867.

The Randolph family lived in several counties in Georgia and Florida. Mary Arline Randolph was born May 18, 1833 in Jackson County, Georgia and married Augustus Columbus Thompson in 1850.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of nineteen cased images of various family members, one leather-bound, clasped album of photographs, 24 letters relating to the Howard-Comer-Randolph families, loose photographs of the Howard family, Comer family, Randolph family, and the Lyon-Devore-Boland and Whitehead families.
