Correspondence is mainly from Stephen Corker to his wife, from camps near Georgia Roanoke Island, Fredericksburg, and Winchester; and U.S. Military Prison, Johnson's Island, Ohio. Corker writes about his health, deaths and health of members in his regiment, 400 prisoners sent to Point Lookout, Maryland, rumors of a prisoner exchange, and family concerns. Other correspondence are from Corker while in Washington, DC; and from Margaret to Frank Corker, and other friends and family members.
