Historical Note

Medora Field Perkerson (1892-1960) was a Georgia author and journalist. She married Angus Perkerson.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of papers of Medora Field Perkerson from 1914-1960. The papers include correspondence, newsclippings, photographs, and some typescripts regarding her works: Blood on Her Shoe, Marie Rose, and White Columns in Georgia. The collection also includes biographical material, photographs, speeches, publications which contain her work, and scrapbooks. Of particular interest are articles, correspondence, newspaper clippings, radio interviews, and photographs relating to her friend, Margaret Mitchell.
