The collection consists of two letters written on Head Quarters, Co. B 111th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment letterhead: dated camp near Vinings bridge, July 1864, signed "Miletus Tuttle," regarding James B. McPherson's death, General John Bell Hood's command, and Jefferson Davis; dated Joe Holt Hospital, Jeffersonville, Indiana, November 1864, signed "Miletus Tuttle," regarding Tuttle's health, troops preparing to march, and rumors.
