Historical Note
Erolie Pearl Gaddis was born in Gaddistown, Georgia on March 5, 1895. She married John Sherman Dern in 1931. She was a prolific American romance novelist and resided in Tucker, Georgia.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of papers of Peggy Gaddis Dern from ca. 1944-1968. The papers consist primarily of outlines and typescript manuscripts of thirty-seven of her novels, typescripts of fourteen novelettes and short stories, a few pieces of correspondence, and book contracts.
