Alexander Peter Stewart (1821-1908) was a Confederate General and commanded the Army of Tennessee in 1864.

Scope and Content

The collection consists of one letter: dated "In the field," Paulding County, Georgia, May 31, 1864, to "Colonel A. J. Kellar," signed "Alex. P. Stewart," regarding Stewart's desire for Kellar to join his staff, and General Johnston.
