Historical Note
Carlisle Cobb was the son of Judge Howell Cobb Junior and Mary McKinley Cobb. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia, a collegiate baseball star, and a prominent Georgia attorney, serving as Judge of the Western Judicial Circuit.
