Collection Description
Scope and Content
The collection consists of two photographs taken by M.D. Mitchell & Co., of Griffin, Georgia. One photograph depicts nine army officers, some reading, seated on camp stools before tents in a pine grove. The second photograph portrays kneeling and prone soldiers with rifles on a firing range, a large crowd of onlookers in the background.
