The oversized folder contains Bleckley's appointment as Solicitor General of Coweta Circuit, November 12, 1853; license as member of Bar of Supreme Court of Georgia, January 12, 1855; appointment as Reporter of the Supreme Court of Georgia; appointment as Judge of Supreme Court of Georgia, January 15, 1876; and appointment as Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Georgia, January 17, 1887.

The collection consists of a typed manuscript written by Raymond R. Chaffin in 1993 of his memories of World War II. Chaffin states, "This is written only for my children and grand-children, at their request." Chaffin includes some photocopied pages at the beginning and end that include his discharge papers, a roster of his company, a list of the company's medal recipients, a citation to award of his Silver Star, a list of the company's dead and wounded in action, a map of Europe, and a photograph of Utah Beach after D-Day.

The collection consists of eight documents relating to William H. Foster's military service in Savannah, Georgia in 1865. Papers include an order to appear in court for the trial of Private William Luby, order appointing Foster as Ambulance Officer, Quartermaster's Return, special order granting leave of absence, request for ambulances, and discharge certificate. Also included in the collection is a handwritten copy of an Act of Congress to establish a uniform system of ambulances in the Armies of the United States (1864).
